Waiting for the first ultrasound

Hi everyone!

I’m currently 12dp5dt after my first FET and so far everything is looking good! My first beta was 270 at day 10 and today it was 480, which my clinic is happy with.

I have an ultrasound scheduled for a week from today which I know is early compared to some clinics, but even that feels so far away!! Anyone else waiting for the first ultrasound? Or any tips for how to survive this wait? There’s just so much waiting in IVF lol.

Starting FET cycle

I’ve officially started my first FET cycle and I’m sooo nervous, but excited! I start estrogen (suppository, which I’m not looking forward to lol) today and then go back to the clinic in about a week to check on everything…I can’t believe how close we are

I made a post when I started my ER cycle and got so much support and great advice, so I figured I’d do the same now that I’m finally getting ready for transfer!

FET positivity/advice

Hi everyone!

I will most likely be doing my first FET in August and I guess I’m just looking for any positive stories or advice on what to do between now and then. I won’t get into details because this is a positivity sub, but I got severe OHSS after my egg retrieval at the beginning of the month so I’m really really hoping to not have to do another egg retrieval!

For some background, I’m 27 and have PCOS and my wife is trans and on HRT so we didn’t try for very long before going to IVF in order to use her frozen sperm. Our ER resulted in 3 untested embryos which I am very grateful for, but a little sad because I always imagined us having 3 kids.

My current plan is just to take prenatals, continue acupuncture, and maybe try to decrease my caffeine intake (but it’s already pretty low). I know there isn’t much we can do to change the outcome and I think at this point drastically changing my diet or anything like that would do more harm than good, but I’m searching for any way to feel a little bit more in control! I know this is a very rambley post and probably doesn’t make much sense lol, but thank you all anyway - this sub has been so good for me throughout this difficult process!

(Edit: had a birthday recently and forgot how old I am apparently 🤦‍♀️)

Egg Retrieval tomorrow!

Update: They had me do a lupron only trigger on Thursday and I guess it didn’t mature the eggs enough so even though I still went under, we didn’t end up actually have the retrieval today. We’ll do an Ovidrel trigger tonight and then hopefully have the real retrieval on Monday. I’m trying to stay positive, but if anyone has had similar experiences I would love to hear about it

Just wanted to share because I can’t believe I’m finally here! I know I still have a hard road ahead of me with recovery and attrition, but honestly so far this process has been so much better than I anticipated. I have a lot of follicles so I’m definitely ready to get these babies out, but my clinic is doing a good job at keeping my estrogen in a reasonable range and trying to avoid OHSS.
