This has increasingly bothered me with each book. I don’t understand how what seems pretty essential was lost to the white tower. traveling seems pretty essential. How did they simply forget to continue teaching it?

Edit: so what triggered me was Cadsune remarking that it had been lost since the breaking. That turns out to be just before her conversation with a wise one who knows the/a weave. This tells me two things, one (duh) the Aes Sedai really are stuck up muppets (love how the wise one points out they have to flutter their hands around but the Aiel don’t need to) and second the importance of strength to construct the weaves.

Just finished Fires of Heaven and I have a few weeks before I can start (listening) to Lord of Chaos. I will start the print but I listen throughout the day and am craving the next part! Any suggestions on what to listen to while I wait?

Inspired by the show I have been sucked into this amazing world. I’ve been listening mostly to Rosamund Pike’s narration and I’m obsessed. Due to availability I did have to listen to the original version and found their narration much harder to follow. I read at night and listen during the day. That said, I’m in book 4 and am quickly beginning to lose track of characters. What were your tricks for keeping people straight? It’s like reading historical fiction about Rome lol.
