Struggling with my small living room layout/vibe — any ideas?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been struggling with the layout and overall vibe of my living room for a while and could really use some outside perspective/inspiration.

I attached some photos of the space. It’s on the smaller side, so I’m trying to make it feel cozy and intentional without making it feel cluttered.

Style-wise I’m into warm, moody interiors with plants, ambient lighting, natural wood, and Japandi/mid-century influences. I really like cozy evening vibes with warm lamps.

A few things:
I’m getting curtains soon

Open to buying new furniture

Would love more wall decor/plants

Trying to make the living + dining area feel cohesive

Don’t want the space to feel overcrowded

Right now it just feels a bit unfinished.

Would love any ideas for:
layout

lighting

wall decor

plants

furniture/decor pieces

overall vibe

Any inspiration or suggestions are appreciated 🙏
