First Matching Set!

Sewed my first matching set. This was a “wearable toile” and I’m now ready to make so many more. Plus, I feel confident enough to add different pants to my plans.
Pants: pants from the Saguaro Set by Friday Pattern Company. What a fun and simple sew. So comfy and a nice, easy fit. Contrasting pockets from scrap fabric because I can.
Top: combination of shirring and ruching with 1/4 inch elastic. First time shirring a whole top. Sorta freehanded it and got tired 😂 the back has more lines of shirring. Elastic along the top to help hold it all up.
Fabric: the cutest little vintage cotton bedsheet I’ve seen at the thrift store in a while. I cut the pants so that the ribbon at the bottom of the sheet made the hem of the pants.

What to wear while being measured?

Hi sewing souls-
I have been wanting to dive deeper into my sewing and after some failed or frustrating projects with many attempts to do it myself, I have decided to make an appointment with a tailor to get all of my measurements done.
I have second guesses about what to wear for this appointment!

I know to general advice is to wear something form fitting with your usual “foundation garments” but since I am trying to sew for my everyday wardrobe that would be as minimal as possible (like a tank top or bralette because I hate bras/shape wear) and some undies.

Are the going to look at me crazy if I roll up leggings and a tank top? Should I bring a “real bra” and heels just to get a second set of measurements for formal wear? Am I over thinking this?

Recommendations while in Chicago

It seems like most post in relation to this are kinda old and a lot of things have changed since 2020…so I figured I would take my chances asking-

What are some of your favorite all vegan/vegetarian and lots-of-options centered places to eat in Chicago? My husband and I will be visiting for our anniversary. We are familiar with the standard options (like indian restaurants, etc), so I am curious if there is anywhere special we should try for a special dinner.
Black owned businesses are always plus!
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Digital Sewing Project Planning

Hi sweet sewist souls-
I’d love to hear how you approach project planning. I get so many ideas that I often get a little lost and overwhelmed. I would love to make a digital notebook where I could put patterns, swatches, notes etc all on one page. I have used different mood/bulletin board type things but I want something with more of a notebook feel that I could access on my iPad.
I’d love to hear about your favorite apps or approaches to managing projects this way. Thank ya!

Edit*
I appreciate all of the suggestions but I think what I am actually looking for is a digital sketchbook of sorts!
