Shizuka's Birthday event results!

The Shizuka Birthday Competition is officially over!

The participation was way too low but somehow still higher than expected, because the subreddit is flooded with low-effort slop, reposts, and random BS from Instagram and the like. Barely anyone showed up for an event encouraging creativity and actual high-quality content.

Still, thank you to everyone who actually put effort into their submissions and tried to make the event fun. Some genuinely good posts came out of this competition. Here are the winners!

Banner Art

Only 2 banner submissions were posted, and the winner is u/TibbyDoesStuff for this amazing banner (https://www.reddit.com/r/Doraemon/comments/1t66e6c/banner\_submission\_japanese\_version/). Congratulations!

However, since the other banner by u/RyanRaiTV (https://www.reddit.com/r/Doraemon/comments/1t8o798/shizuka\_birthday\_banner\_thing/) was also very good, we have decided to use them both. Ryan's banner will be used until 23rd May, and after that Tibby's banner will be used.

So, congratulations to Ryan too!

HAPPY BIRHTHDAY TO SHIZUKA!!!

Hey guys! Today is the birthday of our all-time favorite Shizuka! Yes, it's May 8th and it's her special day! 🎉

Shizuka has been a part of my childhood growing up. I've seen her at her kindest in so many episodes, and yeah, a little mean in others too. But none of that changes the fact that she is the best!

Today I just want to wish her the happiest birthday, and I'm really excited for the Shizuka birthday special episode that is releasing soon. So I'm making this small appreciation post for the occasion.

A lot of people don't like Shizuka for some reason, but I genuinely feel like she is the sweetest and kindest girl ever. If you haven't already, watch the Stand by Me movie where she goes out of her way to help Nobita when nobody else was there. Or the grandfather tree episode where she puts in all her effort to save a dying tree that she spent her entire childhood playing on. She really does have such a big heart.

To celebrate Shizuka's birthday on May 8th, a special subreddit competition is officially starting right now. There are several ways to participate and show some love for her character, with opportunities to have entries highlighted in the community.

There are three main categories for this event:

1. Art 🎨

This category is split into two sub-categories:

  • Fan Art: Standard artwork celebrating Shizuka.
  • Banner Art: Artwork specifically designed to be used as the subreddit banner. Important: The main content of the banner design must fit within a 5:1 aspect ratio.

2. Shizuka Appreciation Posts 💖

Share thoughts, favorite moments, and general appreciation for what makes Shizuka such a great character.

3. Best Shizuka Episode Analysis 📺

Dive deep into a specific episode where Shizuka shines, breaking down the plot, character development, and why that particular episode stands out.

Prizes & Deadlines 🏆

Winners for the Fan Art, Appreciation Posts, and Episode Analysis categories will be announced on Shizuka's actual birthday, May 8th, and the winning posts will be subsequently highlighted in the subreddit.

For the Banner Art category, submissions will remain open until May 10th. The winning banner design will be used as the official r/Doraemon banner for the entire month of May, and the artist will be fully credited for their work.

How to Enter 📝

Special event post flairs have been added to the subreddit. To participate in the competition, simply apply the correct flair to the submission, keeping in mind that these flairs will remain available until the end of the month.

So I am a mobile player, and I have been trying out the new Star wars galactic siege map, but for some reason I can't select a character/class in this mode. Only two options that I can select are Recon or officer. I can't choose striker or the other free one. I can't choose any of the character you get with points. Its so frustrating!

Am I just unaware of something that I need to do in-game or is this actually a bug?
