I’m trying to get rehired as a higher pay grade, been in already and I’m out of probation. I got the tentative offer as a 9, so I’m just waiting to get the list. If I want to stay at my station and just get the new grade, can I do that?
Anyone know if this job is worth it? ATF isn’t hiring anymore so might look into this.

Trying to get time down to about 11:30 to not worry at all for ATF or FBI test. Currently at like 12:45-13:00 depending on the day. Think If I can average 12:10 on my own the day of the test I can push to be way faster. Just having a hard time getting it down.
How soon did yall take the PT test after submitting your application?
Current Border Patrol Agent, I’m a GS7. I want to apply to HSI but they are only accepting 9s. Technically I don’t qualify because I haven’t been a 7 for over a year, but I have a degree, and I’ve been in BP for over a year now. I’ve done arrests, tons of searches, traffic stops, processing, and assisted several PDs with whatever help they need. I’m wondering if yall think HSI will let me in based on that?
