Academy PT

Just curious I’ve been running outside for a little bit and I just want to know how many miles should I be running so I can be okay in the academy.
Right now I run about 2 miles at a 10:20 pace
And push ups and sit ups 20+

Application

I rushed through some of the pre-screen questions and selected the wrong answer to one of the disqualifying questions. My application got immediately rejected, even though I’ve never been convicted of any crimes.
I realize this job, and honestly any job, should be taken seriously and that I need to pay closer attention to the questions being asked. I was applying to a lot of jobs after just getting off active duty, and I made a careless mistake.
Has anyone else dealt with this before? Should I just reapply next month, or is there a way to contact someone and correct the answer?

Final job offer and in the process of rejoining the Navy.

I just received my final job offer recently and this is causing me to second guess my decision of rejoining the military. My application process got stuck in the medical section for a pretty long time so I honestly didn't think I was gonna get the job. I went back to meps and started the process of rejoining the military, but over the past three weeks my application process just skyrocketed and now I'm here.

I'm still thinking of re joining the Navy but going the reservist route. My old job is not available as a reservist so I'm pretty sure I'd have to go to a school for around two months. I assume this would clash with the academy and my process pretty hard. Hearing from anyone in the sub that has went through both processes at similar times would help a lot.

Denied GL9 even with LEO experience?

I was denied for the GL9 level. A year as a cop and 2 years for the PA State Corrections. I even have some college education too and multiple years as a Police Cadet when I was under 21. How do I get GL9 then?

Currently a CO in CDCR making 160k with overtime is it worth to go agent?

Is the work life balance any better? The pay? With overtime of course , i do minimal overtime , have 3 days off , has anyone gone from cdcr to agent here? Is the less stress alone worth it? New to this thank you!

Written warning at work can be disqualifying ?

I’m currently a caregiver and I have a lot of written warning at work due to medication error and not completing some training .
Can I be unsuitable because of that ? Anyone that passed suitability with some warning at work?

How Pay Works

So I'm still in the hiring process for GS-9, I'm just wondering how the pay system works. I think at the academy it's just base pay? And then afterwards you get that overtime pay? Plus locality? And then after a year you can go up a pay scale? So for me, i got through and did a year I would automatically be put at gs-11? Can someone clarify?

I have a current job offer for a little over $80,000.

Trying to see how long before I made that kind of money with Border Patrol and weigh the benefits

College Credits

Upon completion of the Academy do you get something similar to a JST like you do from the military? I’m around 8 elective credits away from completing my associates degree and am curious if i could get that from the academy. Also has anyone had experience doing it and what credits transferred?
