I have a family of four, and my wife is expecting our baby girl. We're currently living in Connecticut, but we're thinking about relocating to Texas. Im prior service Military as well.

If both McAllen and Laredo are available when I choose my duty station, which would you recommend? We're looking for a place that's safe, family friendly, and affordable enough to raise our family on my Border Patrol salary alone. I'd also love to hear if there are any other Texas stations you think would be a better fit for a young family.
