How do founders follow community discussions relevant to their niche?

I've been trying to improve how I track conversations around my niche, things like customer pain points, competitor mentions, trends and overall brand sentiment. Right now it feels like manual searching takes forever and I still miss important threads. Are you guys using some kind of system that actually work?

How are people catching important threads so early while I'm always behind?

I genuinely don't understand how some people seem to find the right reddit threads the second they're posted. By the time I discover them, the opportunity to contribute meaningfully is basically gone. I've been trying to stay more active in communities related to my niche and keep track of brand mentions, but manually searching all day just isn't realistic. I appreciate any tips that you can give.

What's the Reddit equivalent of Google Alerts that actually works well?

I feel like I'm missing half the internet unless I'm actively searching for it. Back in the day, I tried setting up Google Alerts to stay on top of topics I care about. I'm wondering if there's a similar tool or setup people here actually rely on.

I've noticed that manually checking reddit for specific topics or mentions can take a lot more time than I expect. Sometimes I'm trying to track certain keywords, brands, or discussions in different communities, but it turns into constant searching, refreshing and jumping between communities just to stay updated. I'm wondering, are there any tools or methods you use that can send alerts when important mentions or posts come up? Something like notifications for keywords across multiple communities would be really helpful instead of manually browsing all the time.

Ever opened a thread that was posted seconds ago and somehow there are already comments waiting for you? Not just first but actual replies, like people were ready the moment it went live. Are there users constantly watching the "new" tab or am I just always late? If you're one of those instant commenters, how are you doing it?

Every time I stumble into a thread related to my niche, there's already a long conversation. How do people find these that fast? Are they constantly refreshing certain subs, using notifications, or is there some setting or tool I'm missing? Or is it just super active users who basically live on here? Not complaining, just curious how they manage to be that early to everything.
