God this game is good
(Just ranting about my fantastic experience with this game and my brother) Where do I begin, probably with the fact that I have not beat the game and it still holds such a special place in my heart. My older brother (22) bought this game on his PS5 while he was home for Christmas break and I tried it but couldn't get into it personally, but whenever he would get on to play I would try and get downstairs to watch. It just looked super cool. okay now that you know a little bit here's the spoilers. . . . The yellow road or golden path whatever its called is by FAR the coolest puzzle I've seen in gaming and running around collecting parts of a guide to the game is crazy (and I'm sure you know this but the pages are NOT unlocks you can do everything in the game as far as I am aware away without picking a single one up) but okay enough blah blah, story time I came downstairs one time and saw my brother playing Tunic I sat down on the couch behind him watching, as he plays I'm asking questions about things trying to stay engaged and suddenly he starts talking about a secret path of sorts and how he thinks the top of this mountain holds some secret purpose I thought it was a cool idea but nothing was actually going to use it right? Just some cool worldbuilding well tbh I don't remember if it's used or not but he flips to a page in the book showing the start of a path one thing leads to another he has all of the lights downstairs on so he can see better, a pen and paper, mapping out some road and following it in game man just watching everything happen was so cool solving the puzzle the amazing sound track and in the end saving the final boss. . . with a different ending and different credits with even better music it was just perfect. the perfect end to us sitting in the basement for hours on end. . . . . I don't use reddit often but I feel like it is the perfect place to share stories like this and fuck, this game dude like I said before I didn't even beat it personally never even got out of the first area and it still left this impact on me. . . (as I read this again I'm realizing I didn't go very far into depth but hey I don't care I love this game I love my brother and you reading this thanks for reading this! Feel free to reply with any of your stories I would love to hear!)
