Okay this is half to vent half to just figure out if there something I can do.

I previewed the name of a book that I really wanted to write. I’m an artist and the name had never been used before. I didn’t trade mark the book name fell on rough times for back up and decided… time to act on things and trade mark… except… someone trade marked something entirely similar in the SAME FIELD 🙂‍↕️. They just reversed the freaking order!! They reversed the order and I’m so flustered because who even are you as an artist!? To steal an idea and then trade mark it 🥲. So yes. I’m going to go cry now. So tell me… is there any way to beat this? I just found out it’s live and pending and it’s been posted since Jan of this year but I posted my book July of last year and they filed in August. I’m disgusted but I get it.

Hi. I’m new to building. Let’s say I know absolutely nothing.

I have plans to go and look at land this weekend to start an adventure of building a small glass house in the forest. (Small is relative, but it’s just me so it can be as small as I want). Ideally the house is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a decent sized living room, kitchen, and dining room, and a decent sized food pantry. Let’s say that’s all I needed. I was hoping to kind of start collecting tips, advice or recommendations from you guys that might help along the way. Any videos I should watch ahead of time, contractors near the Oregon area that are good to use, places where I can buy quality supplies at a decent price. If it matters I’m a woman, I’m not a builder by any means but I really really want to learn and build most of it myself. I’m not in a rush but have heard that glass houses require a lot of specialty training. I’ve even considered a combination of glass and stone but wanted to know your guys’ recommendations. I would be building alone if I chose to forego a crew but would be open and highly interested in hiring someone to consult and teach along the way. Mostly I just need help with the external framing and can kind of make my way around the internal things and was hoping to gather resources here. I got a soil tester to take with me when I go to the land because I’m hoping to plant agriculture and trees around the small home.

So if you guys have any tips
Or tricks
Or know any good affordable vendors..
Or just motivational little things

Building a house is not easy
This won’t be easy but … I’m willing to try.

So here it goes.

I’ve been a PA for a few years now. Not long enough to know everything but not short enough to be a new grad.

I work in a small rural town we don’t have much up here and today seemed like a hard day.

I’ve been having problems with my MA up here. I have just one. It’s the little things. Small passive aggressive things. And in a small town where everyone knows everyone, she has causes a few incidences of uproar and I have seen instances where she is giving the patients medical advice or practicing beyond her scope. (It might be important to note I am a locum up here)

recently, I changed the job duties or rather for a few months as a few patients have come to me in secret to complain about things getting done and I’ve just noticed things. I took on the intake of the patient, the vitals (I don’t do RR , I mean neither do a lot of people but I’m honest about it. I analyze the pt as a whole and that one I just can never get the patient is likely talking the entire visit and if I try to grab it it’s never correct because they start speaking half way through the count etc) the injections the exam the charting. Everything. Well today, I gave a patient an injection and the medications that were supposed to be kept up to date by the MA was expired and I didn’t know until AFTER I gave it and went to chart. I am honest so I charted it, informed the MA and informed the medical director and yes I know I should have checked the expiration date. But sigh. I didn’t. I didn’t because I trusted that she kept them up to date like she said and I have already all these tasks I’m doing and granted our daily patient load is low but I’m not going out to check inventory or expiration dates and I would if I knew I had to. I’m just a bit flustered and another employee even asked if she is sabotaging me as she has done several things to sabotage me.

We first did not see eye to eye after another person picked up opioid medications meant for someone else, she told no one despite me telling her she must and then it coming up at a subsequent meeting with the medical director. The entire office hated me. The entire community was different after that and I just got things to be tolerable again.

Sigh mostly this is just venting.
I get what needs to happen
Check all expiration dates in the future
Inform the patient
Finish the incident report
Be better so I make NO more mistakes and give them no reason to terminate me.

There are no protocols or policies up here and I’m kind of shooting blind all the time on what should be done about things.

So there is the vent. And I guess the open door for advice moving forward.
