yep, hello guys its me, Ok_Possession827 or as my downtown 1930s mafia friends know me as "try the Aussie NASCAR Guy" anyways, i have been part of the SMG4 Reddit community for about 1 year now of constantly being on it. i love being here and seeing peoples different thoughts and opinions on stuff. anyways today im talking about everyones "favourite movie' Western Spaghetti. well it was in 2023, not in 2026. i mean...like what happened!? it was so loved just 3 years ago to being kinda hated on in 2026. now i know why it is, no character arcs done in this actually continue on into the rest of season 13 (2023) and the rest of the show, but im here to talk about my thoughts on the movie. so...i never saw this movie when it came out. yeah i first saw SMG4 in 2022, and watched the lawsuit arc and the anime arc, and a few older 2011-2014 episodes, but i left after "super mario ballin" i thought SMG4 in 2022 was peak in 2022, but when i came back to the show in 2024...i found out season 12 is almost as bad as TTTE Season 12. the characters arent dumb, there just a pack of unlikeable assholes, but not in a funny way, it feels just shit, outside of like the revelations movie, the cursed tapes, if mario was in splatoon 3, the Pawn buissness and Into the Marioverse which those episodes i quite like, but the rest are shit IMO. anyways, despite my hatred for season 12, i never hated season 13 of the show, despite my boi X not appering and FM once, i thought season 13 was a HUGE step up from season 12, and...in 2024 and 2025 i really loved Western Spaghetti, it was one of my most favourite SMG4 movies, and it says alot, cuse i really enjoy almost every SMG4 movie outside of the 10 year anniversary, which just needed some more time in the oven to thin out some of the mistakes, but im getting "off the rails" so to say. but in 2026 what do i think of western spaghetti? is it still great or is it bad, or good like most people think....well i still think its a great movie, but if im going to be honest its lasting affect DOES have issues. so why not i go over it a bit more? if you havent seen the movie...then go watch it and then come back here. first to talk about the positives. the first one is, its a pretty good looking movie. if im going to be honest, after 2021, it felt as if the show started looking worse, just a bit more plasticy, and this is an issue 2022 had for me, but western spaghetti looked good, and the gmod animation was also pretty good, i love how it looks, i think a pretty good scene for the visuals was the scene where Meggy was just being killed again and again and again, it looks very good, most scenes with one-shot wren in it looked good. infact, i really like him, i think he's a pretty fun villain, but his backstory does kinda fall flat. he came p2 in the championship once and now everyone forgot him? yeah thats rather bad if you ask me, he didnt even fall off he just came p2 in the standings once!? oh well, another thing i like about this movie, is that it gives Tari a lead role. sure she had big roles before in Meg(gy's) destiny, and later Puzzlesvision, but this felt like HER movie, and i like the arc she goes through, finally learning to be strong, and trying to help Meggy from being spawn killed. i also love the side cast. they are the funniest part of the movie. i love when One-shot wren is fucking with everyones mind but meggys and they keep on saying "its so good you can eat it raw" that gets a laugh out of me, i also like Meggy in this movie. now i know i can kinda be a meggy hater cuse...well she was a bitch from season 9-12 and 14 and a bit of 15, but i really liked her in this movie and most of 2023, sure she had some iffy moments that year, but it was WAY better than how she was in season 12 BEING THE REASON WHY LAWYER KONG WANTED TO REMOVE SMG4-ahem. paitence....ok i think i talked about most of the good, idk what else u want me to say, but now onto the negatives for me. as mentioned before, One-Shot wrens backstory is shit "oh no i came p2 in the standings everyone hates me"...so your telling me, when richard Petty fell off after 1979 everyone hatted him? yeah its stupid, plus Meggy clearly idolizes him, i mean she does say "hes my idol" and even know Tari knows jackshit about him, even shes on the One-Shot Wren train, it reminds me of that one phineas and perb movie when Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz meets his more evil version, and the more evil versions backstory is that when he was a kid, he lost his train and thats why he is evil, compared to Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz whos parents where not even there for his birth. but anyways, back onto Western Spaghetti, another issue i have is that is very nit picky, but...i think in some earlier episode of the arc, SMG4 says "everyones comming to peepee island" but...where is X AND FM!?! i know its very silly of me, but i love X and FM, and it would have been cool if they where along for the ride. idk what they woulda done, but just them being there woulda made me happy, but now for the biggest issue this movie posseses: it does JACKSHIT for the series. y'know, Meggys destiny saw Meggy finally win splatfest and to do it in honour of Desty, the 10 year anniversary starts off SMG0'S time being a colour blind ahh purple shreck villain, the revelations movie, ends the arc and Melonys character arc, ITS GOTTA BE PERFECT gets rid of the castle, forcing a new place to come up, WOTFI 2023 (yes i count WOTFI 2023 and 2025 as a movie) sets up Mr Puzzles as the man behind the slaughter-i mean strongs, Puzzlevision shows...well i guess Mr Puzzles forcing them to do parodies, Silence of the cats shows us Karens backstory, how she cares for DA KIDS and the goated father of storytelling: mr wpnz. Guns N' Puzzles shows us Mr Puzzles actually getting friends, but he cant see it, and he realizes that he was blindishgt5ed and needed to make things right, comming up to SMG4'S last arc, the WOTFI 2025 Arc, where in the WOTFI/Movie, Mr Puzzles realizes he shouldnt fuck with time, and when a portal-wormhole thing comes to end the world, he and Mr Wpnz seemingly sacrafice themselves to save the world, and THE END, is...well the end to SMG4, where Mario learns that its fine for things to come to an end...now what does Western Spaghetti do? NOTHGING. after the movie, everyone just reverts back to normal like nothing ever happened, Tari reverts back to being a shy gamr beta that dosent play Downtown, Meggy forgets her trauma outside of it being mentioned in Puzzlevision, and nothing else happenes. fk at the end of the movie Meggy and Tari blow up the under construction castle, but nothing comes of that. everything this movie does, leads to nothing. Tari stays a shy gamer girl, Meggy forgets her trauma, nothing it does means anything. and its not just this movies problem, and another movie i adore has the same issue, my favourite TTTE Movie Tale of the brave. this one is VERY simillar to Western Spaghetti. it has a person in a lead role that isn't normally a lead in movies (Percy) Percy begins the movie scared and not capable of doing things, but with the help of Gator becomes stronger, and when theres a mine collapse, Percy risks his life to save James, kinda similar to how Tari made a place to help Meggy calm down and to plan out how to clap One-Shot wren, and by the end of both movies, Thomas and Meggy (both who normally lead in movies), learn to trust there respective friend (percy and Tari) a little more, and that they can be strong, but both movies suffer the same issue: NOTHING HAPPENS AFTERWARDS. now i do kinda get it for TTTE, when andrew brener came on, he wanted to make it an episodic show, so thats why Percy is scared once more after this movie, but y'know SMG4 trie to take itself more serous, have more status quota changes, which is why its so painful that nothing comes of this movie, nothing important, and now that SMG4's over, it sucks even more, and thus leaves a bitter taste in our mouths over this movie. TBH if you like the movie and want everything that happens in it to actually matter, then ig read Red-stinger666's (i think thats his username) comic on it, and his version of WOTFI 2023 and puzzlevision, i mean im no tarixmeggy shipper, but the story he made was pretty good, and it actually follows a non-episodic timeline where everyone grows, so ig give that a read if you want. but thats it for me, i hope you...enjoyed reading this, dont just check the title and start a fight in the comments, but ye thats it, and...cya next time i chose to post something i guess
