Is 'Do Da Da' the best Green Day b-side?

Is 'Do Da Da' the best Green Day b-side?

I've been listening back over all the old b-sides, and 'Do Da Da' is such an underrated gem from the Brain Stew / Jaded single back in 1996.

I love everything about it. The melody, the energy, the lyrics. 'Suffocate' and 'Desensitized' come close, but I reckon Do Da Da is Green Day's best non-album track.

Any other love out there for this short, sharp masterpiece?

My son and I have a website called All Things Rock, where we write in-depth reviews and rankings of bands' discographies and recommend new (and old) bands to check out. We just published a ranking of everything by Green Day, and all the connected side projects. What do you think? Did we miss anything? This isn't just a 'let's rank Green Day albums' post, but I'd love to know if we missed anything significant.

  1. Father of All

  2. The Network (Money Money 2020 Parts I & II)

  3. iDOS!

  4. Billie Joe solo (No Fun Mondays & Foreverly)

  5. iTRE!

  6. 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours

  7. The Longshot

  8. iUNO!

  9. Pinhead Gunpowder (all records)

  10. Kerplunk

  11. Foxboro Hot Tubs (Stop Drop & Roll)

  12. Revolution Radio

  13. Shenanigans

  14. 21st Century Breakdown

  15. Saviors

  16. Insomniac

  17. Warning

  18. Dookie

  19. American Idiot

  20. Nimrod

We made a playlist too, of lesser-known tracks which are every bit as amazing as the 'hits'. I'd love it if you can please take a look at the whole ranking (https://www.all-things-rock.com/all-albums-ranked/green-day) - it's a non-profit website which my teenage son and I are doing for fun, to help him build his writing skills to become a journalist.

Thanks, awesome Green Day lovers!
