CPU ryzen 9 9900x died on Asrock motherboard
I have used Asrock b850 pro rs with Ryzen 9900x for about a year before it died. Ocasionally I had an issue where boot up would take longer to post. Wait for few minutes like it would train on memory. One day it just didn't woke up when displays went to sleep. Didn't react to power and restart button. So I turned it off from power supply button. After that it didn't post at all.
CPU and socket didn't had any burn marks or anything. Looked healthy. Wanted to return motherboard as I was suspecting it. But I was wrong.
I didn't update bios from original one that came by default, I think it was 3.40 version. So now I applied latest bios.
I had spare CPU to test it, and It worked just fine. Returned dead CPU to store for replacement, waiting for results.
Would you suggest to swap motherboard to another brand just to be safe? I previously did not had any problem with Asrock before. Edit: added more info on what happened
