Champion Era Denver Nuggets Complete!

Champion Era Denver Nuggets Complete!

It only took me about 31 years, but I finally completed the Champion era Denver Nuggets collection based on what I know exists. The final piece was the home white LaPhonso Ellis which I picked up from 206_Throwbacks this last week, and it finally arrived in the mail today.

I still have 28 teams left to finish off, but the next few teams I’m close to completing are the Clippers (2 left), Spurs (2 left), Celtics (2 left), Cavaliers (3 left), Pacers (4 left) and the Bullets (4 left). Pretty much every other team I have about 7 or more left to go.

Crazy Mail Day!!!

Pretty crazy mail day today! I had been on the hunt for this Charles Smith New York Knicks jersey for a good 25 years due to the fact that he was the only player who played college ball at PITT who Champion produced a jersey for. You’d think Eric Mobley or Jerome Lane would have gotten one, but nope!

The Jalen Rose Denver Nuggets was also a huge pick up and I now only need one more home jersey to finish off every Nuggets that Champion produced, to my knowledge.

And lastly, the Marcus Camby UMASS jersey was too cool to pass up.

Uncanny Timing

As a lot of you have come to know that I’m a massive Champion NBA jersey collector, and with that, I have a bunch of different side quests that I find myself partaking in. For the most part, I’m trying to track down every jersey that Champion ever made for the NBA, but at the same time I also locate a lot of blanks to get customized for players who were amazing in college, but didn’t have the greatest of NBA careers. This is a different quest altogether.

Every now and then I’ve been able to locate jerseys for players who shared teams/numbers with different players who I would prefer to have a jersey for. Which brings up this post. I already have a size 48 for both Derek Anderson (Spurs) and Derek Harper (Knicks), but I was able to find these two jerseys a few years back with the intention of having my friend Mar remove the last names and add STRICKLAND to the back of both. Welp… today’s the day that I’m sending them off to get “refurbished.”

I’ll admit, I always feel a bit guilty when I do this, mainly because there’s a finite number of these left in the wild. However, as I’ve done in previous cases, the end result always seems to justify the means when it comes to paying tribute to a player who never had their jersey made and sold to the public. Obviously in the case of Rod Strickland, several jerseys for the different teams he played for were made available. Just not for the Knicks and Spurs.

Anyway, I probably could have sold these, especially now, but I’m going through with this. I’ll be sure to post the results when I get these, and the others I sent off, back.

Nike Dunks & Champion NBA Jerseys

Hey y’all!

First time, long time. I have been collecting Champion NBA jerseys since 1995, but over the last 6 years I have been acquiring Nike Dunks to compliment my daily outfits. As of now I have 6 pairs: Black/White, St. John’s/White, Navy/White, Navy/Yellow, Valerian Blue/White and White/Black SBs.

My goal is to pick up a few more pairs so I have at least one pair to match my jerseys. My question to all of you is, which colorways of Dunks should I track down to accomplish this mission? I’m trying to go for the least amount to cover ground, but I’m open to suggestions. Also, I wear a size 15, which may or may not make this more of a challenge.

I appreciate your input! Thanks!
