Violazione alle norme del codice della strada
Hi guys!
Around 10 months ago I visited Napoli for a few days. The time was awesome, good food, nothing to complain about.
I also rented a small car for 2 days to visiti Amalfi and Pompeji. I am an experienced driver, was in many countries but this was by far the worst experience I had in Europe😂 (and yes, my rear window got smashed but they couldn‘t steal anything and insurance covered the damage so no big trouble)
Today I received two letters from Comune Di Napoli regarding fines. It says „Circolava nella zona a traffico limitato vialando il divieto di circolazione“ which translates to I drove into a walking only zone? It also says there was a big lightened sign informing about this and I was captured by a camera.
The street is „varco di via mezzocannone“, which is 1-2 streets away from where my hotel was. I don‘t remember any sign, looked up on google streetview, also nothing to see. Just many cars going trough and parking in this street. One letter is from 09:48 in the morning and one from 15:59 in the evening.
Also: exactly in this street I was „forced“ to pay parking money to a mafia parking guard. On the last day I told him I will pay tomorrow but never came back.
I don‘t want to pay this blind, maybe anyone knows if this fine is justified? Has it something to do with the guard?
Kind regards :)
