Low Microplastic option for water filtration?

I am happy to use the tablets, but my kids don't like them. Is there an option that doesn't shed any or much microplastic during filtration? We're backpacking, so ideally not weighing mutch, but I'd rather take on the weight than the microplastics.

(And I'm sure SOMEONE is going to tell me that microplastics are everywhere so what's the point on trying. If I was interested in making my life easier, I wouldn't be backpacking.)

I'm hoping to head out with kids into the wilderness, and I want to get some kind of device to contact help if there's an emergency (after I broke my foot mountain biking with them). Does anyone have any recs? I'm lost, please save me from yet another rabbit hole. :

Double Camping Pad?

We're camping in Colorado, two kids and one adult, we're all narrow. We've been using a Klymit double v (insulated) with a Big Agnes Dream Island double wide. Staying warm is a real consideration, and I don't think a quilt would work for us. I know there's a lot of hate for Klymit, but it has served us well, and we all find it very comfortable. But now, it is dead (after 10 years or so) and we need a new one. Should we continue with what we know works (even though it weighs 3.3 pounds) or try some mash-up of foam pads, which would be much lighter but maybe less comfortable? I will be the one on the crack (we would have to put two pads together), and I'm afraid that will be a nightmare. Thoughts? Thank you!!

I was rear- ended a few months ago. No shops will work on the Tesla, they said we need to go to a Tesla Collision Center. The Tesla center says they can only use Tesla parts, contractually, but Progressive (the faulty party's insurance) won't pay for Tesla parts. Both my insurance and their insurance are offering no help, except that we can sue the driver for the difference, which is around 2k. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm so frustrated. Nobody seems to have heard of this. Has anyone successfully navigated this?
