i live in old north and its that time, the electric bill sales people (scammer adjacent?) people are going door to door asking for peoples electricity bills. i just walked up to my door from work and my poor (new) neighbor was caught up talking to him and giving his info. i had to tell him its a scammy thing where they try to get you under their company and the “sales” guy was standing there and said “man if someone knocks on your door just tell them you’re not interested i work for the state we are just trying to get business” and walked away all embarrassed and upset

so, if a similar thing happens to you, just shut the door and avoid a jacked up electric bill!! they knocked on my door when i moved here last year and i called aep and they put me on a list of people that specifically do not want their electric company switched so that’s an option

i’ve been posting a lot in this thread (can you tell i’ve been flying this week :P) i have a flight that was supposed to be into the later evening, but not sunset. it’s now delayed until after sunset- i have a huge fear of flying and i don’t know how to shake it- but especially at night. i don’t like that i can’t see and i’m not sure how pilots see well (i’m sure they have headlights and the wing lights, but is there anything else that helps?)
