Question About UAE Citizenship & Emiratisation for Children of Emirati Mothers
I’m a child of an Emirati mother, and it has been more than a year since I applied for UAE citizenship through ICP under the naturalisation process.
I have already been interviewed by an immigration officer regarding my application. My documents show as “Approved” on ICP, but the overall application/request still shows as “Under Process.”
I also visited the immigration office to ask for an update, but they told me that the application is now with the higher authorities and that there is nothing further they can do at their level, so I have to wait.
Does anyone here have experience with a similar case? If so, how long did the citizenship process take after the interview and document approval?

Also, I recently heard that NAFIS has introduced a scheme for children of Emirati mothers. Does this mean that children of Emirati mothers are now considered under Emiratisation and can be counted toward a company’s Emiratisation requirements?

I would like to seek advice regarding my F-1 student visa status. I left the U.S. in October 2025 due to family circumstances and stopped attending my university. My F-1 visa is valid until 2028, but I believe my SEVIS record may have been terminated.

I would like to know my options for returning to the U.S. to continue my studies, including whether I can obtain a new I-20 and SEVIS record through a new university and re-enter?

Please let me know what can be done in my case.
