Avocado- Oral Allergy Syndrome?

Does this sound like OAS or something that’s progressing to something more severe?

For the past 10-15 years whenever I would eat avocados my mouth, tongue, and throat (and sometimes inner ears) itched a little. If it’s mixed in guacamole or in sushi it’s usually fine and nothing happens so I’ve just kept eating it, probably a dumb choice but here we are.

However the other day when I ate one it felt like something was stuck in my throat, almost a pressure in my chest. I took some antacid and it got better. The same chest pressure thing happens when I eat kiwis, so I stopped eating kiwis probably 10 years ago.

Last Tuesday, I got a facial and they put a lip mask on at the end. The next day I had a severe painful blistering rash everywhere along the borders of my mouth, chin, and a small amount of my nose. My upper lip was swollen about 2-3 it’s normal size. I called the spa and found one of the main ingredients was avocado oil.

I will avoid avocado but I’m a little worried after the severe skin reaction, if I should get checked out by an allergist. Because avocado oil is in so much stuff now and it never seemed to be a problem before.

Hello,

I will reach 120 months of qualifying employment in July. If a recertify my employment in July I will have 112 qualifying payments. The 8 missing/ineligible are from SAVE forebearance and one random month from 2019 when I was in in-school deferment.

My husband just lost his job. My payments are over $700 month which I can’t afford now on just my income. We did MFJ on taxes. Can I just submit a recalculation request to lower my IBR payments while my husband is unemployed, or should I request a hardship forbearance and apply for buyback in July, and wait out the buyback request?
