Many WhatsApp API providers seem stuck at messaging and chatbots. Why?

I've been working with the WhatsApp Business API for a while, and one thing I've noticed is that many providers seem to stop at the same place: messaging APIs, broadcast campaigns, template management, and basic chatbots.

Those are useful, but they feel like the starting point rather than the end goal.

What I'd really like to see more providers focus on is building an ecosystem around WhatsApp, such as:

  • AI-powered customer support and sales assistants.
  • Deep Shopify and WooCommerce integrations.
  • CRM, ERP, and inventory synchronization.
  • Automated order management and payment workflows.
  • Omnichannel communication instead of WhatsApp alone.
  • Custom business automation using AI agents.

Businesses today expect more than just sending messages. They want WhatsApp to become part of their entire business workflow.

I'm curious to hear from others in this space.

Do you think WhatsApp API providers should evolve beyond messaging and chatbot platforms? What features or integrations do you think are missing in today's market?

Shopify Public App Rejection.

Hi,

Recently we created Shopify public app(External APP) using next.js. While submit review they rejected and informed we didn't implement billing API properly. We are using partner account and checked with development store but its worked.

Rejection scenario:
We have given one test login with already installed store, While reviewer click upgrade, it return your account dosen't have permission to access this store. Because that store is test store and is under my partner account, And also while development other store not supported.

IF anyone facing this? please help me how to solve this.
