Evelynn Lore Theory...
I just had an epiphany. Lightning just struck my brain.... I posted this in the EvelynnMains and figured I should share it here as well...
This is going to take a bit of lore explaining. So please bare with me...
Official Lore:
- Vayne: The Night Hunter (Biography) - Vayne's parents were killed by Evelynn.
- Vayne's Parent's Death: "Shortly after Vayne’s sixteenth birthday, she returned home from a midsummer banquet and saw something she would never forget. An unspeakably beautiful, horned woman stood before the bloodied corpses of her parents. Vayne screamed in agony and terror. The demon looked down at the young girl, her eyes glowing an inhuman yellow. She flashed a terrible, hungry smile, and dissipated into shadow."
- Evelynn Cult: "Vayne and Frey traveled Valoran, until tavern tales from the highlands caught their ear, whispering of a demonic horned creature of mesmerizing beauty. According to the stories, the demon had been busy: she’d formed a cult, designed to attract worshippers who would do her bidding. People would walk into the hills, never to be heard from again. It was said the cult’s high priests had a holy grounds near the cliffside, where they’d prepare the demon’s sacrificial offerings. Vayne and Frey immediately set off on the hunt."
- Pandemonium: What We Face (Motion Comic)
- Vayne's parents were into dark magic. This magic made Vayne's father sick. So sick that he had to visit someone to 'cleanse' him. This being a man named Niels who used magic to ward and cleanse people.
- He also trained Locke and somewhat Vanye

- Evelynn founded a cult of depraved humans. These people willing worship her and want to feed her. They find people for her to feed on and in some circumstances, some of them wish to be 'feed on' by her.
Here is my theory...
Vayne's parents, or at least her father was a member of Evelynn's cult and that is why she found them and fed on them.
Why?
We know from the comic that Vayne's parents weren't the 'upright outstanding Demacian nobles' that Vayne thinks they were. They were into dark magic... into the occult. Her father got some kind of magic sickness from it. We learn that the use of dark magic can call to demons... draw them.
Members of her Cult WANT Evelynn to notice them. So she can feed on 'sacrifices' or even themselves. What if they were trying to draw Evelynn to them... Maybe they wanted Evelynn to kill someone. Afterall they were Damician nobles. Nobles in many stories and in real life tend have lots of dark secrets and willing to backstab others. Or maybe they drew Evelynn to them because they just wanted Evelynn to lover them in her own dark sadistic way.
The father was the one getting sick from magic so it might have just been Vayne's father... But He/They called for Evelynn and she showed up... and killed them. just in time for Vayne to arrive home and witness Evelynn kill them...
