Is it safe to live on the 1st or 2nd floor in Corvin?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to move to Budapest soon and found a nice apartment but one of it is located on the first floor and other one is second and overlooks a side street

Since I'm new to the city, I wanted to ask locals about the safety of lower-floor apartments in this specific area. I know Corvin is highly recommended and modern, but are residential break-ins a concern for lower-floor flats facing the side streets?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What is the best time to rent an apartment near Semmelweis University?

Hi everyone,

I'll be starting Semmelweis this September and I'm looking for some advice regarding apartments.

I've already been living in Budapest because I attended a premed program here. My current lease expires at the end of August, so I'd like to move into a new apartment around the beginning of August. Right now, I'm mainly considering the Corvin Sétány area.

How is Corvin Sétány for student life? Would you recommend living there?

Also, when should I start looking for an apartment? My budget is around €800/month. If I start searching in July, will most of the good apartments already be taken, or is that still a normal time to look? Should I try to secure a place in June instead?

Additionally, are there any other modern residential complexes or newly built apartment buildings near Semmelweis that you would recommend besides Corvin? I'd prefer a newer building and would like to stay reasonably close to the university.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
