This is the kind of stuff we love to see from the young fella. He looks at least 20 pounds leaner.

This offseason we’ve seen more content of Paolo grinding than we’ve ever seen before. It really seems that this recent disappointing season has lit a fire under him. There’s been a lot of criticism online towards him and it looks clear that he’s determined to prove doubters wrong this upcoming season.
In these clips we can see a lot of areas that look improved, most notably his jumpshot fluidity. His jumpshot doesn’t look as flat/slow as we’ve seen in the past; It looks as if there has been some added arc and a quicker, smoother transition to his set point. Combine this with a seemingly slimmer but strong build, quicker and sharper movement with the ball, and a more efficient drive to the hoop.
This league may be in some serious trouble.
We’ve seen several superstars take their leap to stardom in year 5. Those most notable including:
• Kawhi Leonard
• Kobe Bryant
• Steph Curry
• Kevin Garnett
How excited are you to see how Paolo’s game has evolved this upcoming season? What are your predictions for how he will perform?
I’m being optimistic, but I truly anticipate a season that looks like:
• 26–28 PPG | 7–8.5 RPG | 5–6.5 APG
• Top 5–10 in MVP voting
• All-NBA 2nd or 3rd Team
I know the recent consensus around here on our roster construction is torn between being underwhelmed and content especially with the rather complacent offseason we just had. I went ahead and mocked up the new roster in 2K to get a better idea of what our rotations could look like, and honestly, seeing it on paper made me feel a lot better about where we’re at.
While yes, there is still a lack of shooting in the second unit, I think bringing Vuc back fills a decent portion of that need. Another factor that tends to be overlooked is Noah Penda. His summer league play was promising and if he develops into a consistent catch and shoot threat while bringing the level of defense he’s capable of, I think he could earn some meaningful minutes and help make our second unit one of the better benches in the East.
With what should hopefully be better coaching under Sweeney, and the long-needed removal of Mosley’s frustrating rotations; I think we should be a little more excited going into this upcoming season. I genuinely believe we have the talent to contend with the top teams in the East and finish as a top-four seed.
How do you feel about the roster construction and rotations for this upcoming season?
Side note: yes, I messed around with the overalls a bit and in reference to Penda his minutes would be at PF
