This photo is not the best representation of what Im trying to convey BUT this illusion has perplexed me since I was a child. Sadly its hard to "search" for in Google and even harder to describe to friends.

It looks like the direction goes both up and down the stairs. Has anyone ever made a staircase to convey that feeling?
