I think my medical abortion lead to an ectopic pregnancy
So I just had surgery last night cause I went to the er complaining of intense thinking it was because it was my first period after the abortion.
I feel like abortion process went well cause I bled and passed clots for 6 days and I experienced the regular cramps and nausea afterwards but they faded away.
Problem was that 2 weeks later on what I assumed was my ovulation time, I experienced some chronic pain, I even vomited out every ibuprofen I took but I was scared to go to the hospital due to lack of insurance and I already had another hospital bill to pay out of pocket from a couple weeks back. Let me describe the pain from the first time to give you context. I went to the toilet as I regularly do when I wake up and as soon as I sat down, I felt a stabbing pain on my left abdominal side and pressure on my vagina and butt.
I first thought I was constipated but the pain had me sweating, next time I know I’m vomiting out everything I had in my stomach but it didn’t stop so I tried drinking water but now I was vomiting bile and water. Since I was burning up, I decided to crawl to the shower to cool down (which it helped) but the pain was so severe I started pulling out my extensions and squatted in my bathtub cause I was convinced I’m giving bath but there was no blood, just pressure. I tried eating something before taking ibuprofen but I vomited it all out 20 minutes later. I still didn’t go to the hospital but the pain eventually faded as the day went and night came. So I definitely ignored it, wrong decision ever.
Fast forward 2 weeks later, as I turn to my left while sleeping the pain came back but this time I said I’m not toughening it up. Went to the er, they gave me morphine and that shit wasn’t helping anything. Doctor ordered an ultrasound to check my abdomen, they took blood tests and a pee sample. My blood pressure dropped to 60/34 with my pulse at 124. Next thing you know a whole team of nurses were surrounding me and pocking on me to start a blood transfusion and add a 2nd bag of saline but my veins were almost nonexistent. In the midst of all this chaos, the doctor came and told me that I was 11 weeks pregnant but the embryo was dead and had ruptured my fallopian tube causing internal bleeding inside and outside my uterus and they have to rush me to a hospital with an operation room for surgery. My body started involuntarily shaking bro 😭 wtf you mean I’m 11 weeks pregnant but I live in a state where abortion is illegal so I didn’t say anything.
Can’t even remember passing out for the surgery. The gyno ended up explaining that I’ve been bleeding for weeks (remembering the first time I experienced the cramps). They made an incision on my left and on my belly button for the removal of the fallopian tube but had to make a big incision above my vagina area and feel me up with co2 cause there was so much blood, they couldn’t even see my organs well.
The doctor said I had so much scarring inside my uterus and she didn’t have a clear reason why the embryo had stopped growing or moving but I knew why.
Just thought I’d share my experience in case anyone ever through what I did
