Got charged twice
I went to wetherspoons on Tuesday and ordered food on the website. The first time I tried I got an error message saying my order hadn't gone through. The second time the order was successful and I got an email confirming this. I checked my banking app at the time and had 2 transactions pending but I assumed only one would go through. However I just checked my banking app again today and both transactions are no longer pending but are instead completed transactions and I've been charged twice.
I've been googling what I should do now and I've seen some people saying that the failed order will automatically refund after a few days, but since mine is no longer listed as pending would that still be the case for me? I was going to wait until Monday to see if I get my money refunded automatically and then contact them if I don't but would it be better to contact them ASAP instead so I can get it sorted sooner? Not sure what to do really, has anyone else had this issue?
