Best password manager for ios? thinking beyond icloud keychain
Been going back and forth on how to store my passwords on iPhone and I'm stuck between sticking with Apples built in iCloud Keychain or moving to something like 1Password or Bitwarden. People say Keychain gets the job done and the free part is a big plus, but i'm wondering if third party apps are just better when it comes to security and features. Don't wanna fumble something this important.
The whole appeal of Keychain is that its already there, no extra downloads, no subscription, no thinking about it. But i've seen people hype up 1Password for having a really clean iOS experience that makes the price tag feel worth it. Can't tell if i'm overthinking this or if the gap between them is actually wide enough to matter. Also heard iOS 26 gave Apple Passwords a glow up which might change things.
So here's what i'm tryna lock in. Is Keychain enough for the average person or is a dedicated manager the move. What's actually different about 1Password that justifies paying. Did iOS 26 really push Apple Passwords into the same tier. And if were talking free, is Bitwarden just the smarter pick. Honest takes would help me decide guys.
