I left my family and moved near my in laws for a decade before my mom moved closer to us. For years, my husband worked close to his parents and got a chance for see them daily. Since my mother moved close to us, I spend more time with her. Her health is declining and I don’t know how long she will be alive. I visit her weekly and often times, spend the night at her place. Every time I plan a visit, my husband appears to be upset and will question why I’m leaving again. I’ve expressed wanting to spend as much time as I can with mother since her health is declining. But he continues to question me when I mention that I’m visiting my mom. His demeanor towards my weekly visits is leaving me feeling guilty. Am I wrong to visit my mom weekly, often times visiting longer during my vacation/breaks from work?
