32 yo male, 3 months post-op
Today marks 3 months post-op chin/neck/jaw liposuction and Renuvion. I also had a single Morpheus8 session 1 month ago. Just for a little extra tightening. I love love love my results. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Hi everyone. I posted here last June when I was 12 weeks post-op and dealing with pretty severe banding so I wanted to give an update.
The 2nd photo is how it looks now at 14 months post-op without straining my neck, and the 3rd is with my neck strained. The banding has definitely faded compared to before, but it’s still there.
Last year, before the first photo, I got the shots (apparently called Triamcinolone Acetonide) 2–3 times. Then this March, I contacted my clinic again and got the shot once more because I hoped it would completely get rid of it. The 4th photo is from March before the shot, but honestly I don’t think it changed much.
I didn’t really massage much or get any other treatments. My clinic never recommends anything else and basically just told me the shots would help instantly. So now I’m not really sure what else I can do besides wait it out and maybe start massaging more consistently. Just wanted to share an update in case anyone else is dealing with something similar.
Post-operative comparison for double chin liposuction: Prior to the procedure, there was significant fat accumulation in the jawline area, resulting in a prominent double chin; following the surgery, the fat in the jawline area has been eliminated, the double chin has disappeared, and the jawline is now clearly defined.
If you're on the fence, do it! Wish I'd have done mine sooner! I let fear hold me back and spent years trying to hide my biggest insecurity with my hair, makeup. It's so nice being able to wear my hair up now with confidence.
I feel silly blocking out my eyes because of the other distinguishable features but still 🤣 3 days PO. I had my procedure done with Dr. Ramon Castellanos in Miami! He removed about 300cc and I am beyond happy with my results so far.
Ok so the pictures with the purple sunglasses actually a screenshot from a video it’s the only side profile I could find
That was in 2022
That’s when I first noticed the fat under my chin and decided I wanted to proceed with this surgery
All other photos shown are from today 5 weeks post op
My surgery was on April 14 2025
As you can see I’m still very lumpy and feeling very numb
I spoke to my surgeon today he said this scar tissue is very normal and not to worry that it will go away in months time
As I was asking if he thought I needed a steroid shot or for the area to be drained
I have a 6 week visit on Monday coming up and a lymphatic drainage massage next Wednesday one week today my first one yet
In the mean time I have been trying to massage myself when I remember and do the stretches
Long story short as of today I feel like I look the same as before the surgery if not worse currently
It’s going to be a long process
Happy to answer any questions
Take any advice
And to update on progress
Basically title.
I'm landing in San Diego tonight. Ubering to San Ysidro in the morning. Then Ubering to Dr. Zuriel's clinic.
If my surgery is at 11, do you think it will be enough time if I leave at 8:30? 1hr to Uber to border, 1hr to cross the border, 15 mins to Uber to clinic with 15 mins to spare? Or should I plan on more time spent at the border? I have never gone into another country without it being through customs at an airport before.
I also know that some people say the connection is spotty at the border, I have T-Mobile if it helps, did you have a hard time booking a ride to TJ?
TIA for easing my last minute travel panic !!
I got my chin lipo done today and noticed the surgeon only did one incision in the middle. I’m worried my results won’t be as good as I wanted and now I kinda regret it. Anyone had the same thing done to them and are you happy with the results?
So happy with my results- excuse the mess of me in my before I had just woken up and wanted to take a pictures to remind myself why I was getting it done! The after was taken a few hours after my procedure. 3 days post op now and very swollen. Hoping the swelling will subside and I’ll see what I could see on day one ! Any advice for recovery is greatly appreciated, thank you.
I am 1 day post op and just have to say, this recovery is a lot worse than I anticipated originally! I’ve been in so much pain, it’s hard to sleep. I did go under general so I also have a sore throat from the tube. So ready to start feeling better! For those who went under general and/or have a lower pain tolerance, how many days did it take for the pain to start decreasing?
Ok weird question but for last couple months I've had issues in one of my ears with popping cracking and it being muffled at times. I had my lipo around the same time that it started and I never associated the two things. I went to ENT Dr today and everything in my ear looked fine but they started taking about how sometimes inflammation can cause this and when I mentioned the Lipo they said it was a possiblity.... Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? I'm almost 3 months post op and visibly I feel like most of my swelling is gone but I know sometimes underlying tissues could still have some inflammation.... But very curious if this is a thing and maybe there's others like me that didn't associate the two together.
I'm happy with the results, but I have to mention to anyone who is planning to do this surgery, that unless you have a lot of fat under chin, you won't notice results that much. Because biggest results come from side profile.. So maybe just other people might notice that you look sharper and healthier.
Don't expect miracles in mirror after surgery, most likely you will see very small, subtle changes over time. But when you compare side profile pre-op photo to photo after 1,3 or 6 months, difference is huge.
honestly I’m really unhappy with the results. I know losing more weight would’ve helped, but I’ve still lost 5kg since surgery and there’s still a lot of fat left in my chin/neck. I genuinely feel like not enough was removed in the first place.
I followed all aftercare properly too wore the chin strap for a full month and did the massages as instructed.
What annoyed me most was Flymedi telling me the surgeon blamed the poor results on me “moving too much” because apparently I chose sedation over general anaesthesia… except HE was the one who pushed me to do general anaesthesia because he said I’d move too much otherwise.
They offered a free revision but want me to pay around £1.2k for hospital/anaesthesia/hotel/transport. Which is frustrating considering I paid for an overnight hospital stay the first time and then got told to leave because it was “unsafe” to stay due to infection risk??
Also had basically zero aftercare from the surgeon after surgery. No check-ins, no photos, nothing until I complained.
Now they want him to operate on me again but honestly I don’t trust him at all and don’t feel like I should be paying more money after this whole experience. So I’ve asked them to provide me with a different surgeon but I still feel like I shouldn’t be paying a penny smh
How smaller did it get after 4 weeks post op? A lot or just a little or barely visible? or did it not get smaller?
I am 31, 5’7, 154lbs and I’ve had a double chin for as long as I can remember, even at 16 and 110lbs. I recently had a consultation with Dr Tong in Toronto, he gave me 2 quotes, one on Chin lipo and one on a mini neck lift. I’m having a very hard time deciding on which one to go with. He said I could expect around 60-65% fat reduction with just the lipo. The mini neck lift is an additional $3900 on top of the lipo. Both are a lot of money. I would hope to achieve a better angle under my chin with just the lipo, but now I’m scared I won’t. I don’t necessarily need a perfect sculpted angled neck/jaw line, just less of a 45° angle under my chin would be ideal from my side profile, and less fat when looking down.
Anyone’s before pics look similar to mine that just went with lipo, achieved a better angle, but was also contemplating a mini neck lift? Would love to see.
I posted 2 months ago asking if others thought I would be a candidate for chin lipo and everyone commented that I would be. Then I had a consultation with two different surgeons and they also said I would be a good candidate. So I booked my surgery and flew off to Miami. ( I am from Canada and the city I am from quoted me $7k + tax for chin lipo plus the cost of 5 massages on top of that )
I saw Dr.Ramon Castellanos and their team and could not say enough good things about my experience. First of all the price was a steal at $1800 USD for the chin lipo and then $1400 USD for j-plasma. ( I didn't have to get that done as I am only 33 but I didn't want the chance of having loose skin.) He also thought I would benefit from a fat transfer to my chin so I went ahead.
I was sooo scared for the procedure, felt anxious, but the clinic made me feel super comfortable and at home. Mary was an absolute angel and said she would be my mama for the day, and kept her hand on my chest throughout the procedure and that gave me an extra sense of comfort. The pain was minimal for me, the worst part being the fluid they put inside to numb the area and make it easier to remove the fat, the rest was just a weird feeling but not painful. The heeling hasn't been too bad either, it's just uncomfortable but I wouldn't say it's too painful at all. I had a bit of bruising, but it has subsided a lot.
I am 5 days OP and these are my results. If you are thinking about doing it and struggling with chin insecurity, I say just go for it. I am so glad I did, and thanks to all my research and help from others on this subreddit I was able to go through with it and am forever thankful 🙏🏻 🩷
hi, i was wondering if i "simple" chin lipo would work on me ? my neck blend in with ky face i juate hate my profile. makes ke complex.
thank you :)
The anxiety has finally hit me. Every time I think about the procedure I start to feel my heart racing. I’m choosing to do it awake just cause it’s an hour procedure and so far I felt fine about it up until now. Please help put my mind at ease 🥲
