Could Galactus have unknowingly consumed Celestial embryos? — Theory by AshPMT
I just thought of something that might make Galactus's planet-eating even crazier.
In Marvel lore, certain planets contain developing Celestial embryos deep inside them. These embryos can eventually grow into full Celestials.
Now consider Galactus.
He consumes planets to obtain the energy he needs to survive. So whenever he consumes a planet containing a developing Celestial, wouldn't he potentially be destroying—and possibly absorbing some of the energy of—an unborn Celestial?
That leads to a bigger question:
Could consuming a Celestial embryo give Galactus a much greater energy boost than consuming an ordinary planet?
If Celestials have enormous cosmic potential even while developing, maybe that energy could theoretically:
- Give Galactus a massive temporary power boost
- Help replenish him when he's severely weakened
- Potentially accelerate his recovery from injuries
- Provide an unusually concentrated source of cosmic energy
I'm NOT saying this is confirmed canon. I haven't found evidence that Marvel explicitly says Galactus gains Celestial power by eating their embryos.
But the concept seems logically possible within Marvel's cosmology.
And now I can't stop thinking about it:
How many planets containing unborn Celestials might Galactus have consumed without even realizing what was inside them?
