Second Call for Entries - UNO Reddit 2026

Second Call for Entries - UNO Reddit 2026

Hey everyone, and once again, CHAOS!!!

Well, I want to give you an update on how the idea collection for UNO Reddit 2026 is going. Here I’ll be showing you some of the proposals that have already been added to the expansion the game will have, but we’re still open to receiving more ideas to keep expanding it. So, if you have an idea for a card, mechanic, or anything else that could become part of the expansion, don’t hesitate to share it. The goal is for all of us to keep building this expansion together and, above all, to keep the tradition we started last year alive.

I also want to share an idea for giving this UNO Reddit 2026 expansion its own theme and unique mechanic. I really liked the idea of using tokens similar to the ones featured in UNO No Mercy, and I thought it could be interesting to incorporate a coin-flip mechanic into the new cards we add. The idea is that whenever a player activates a Wild card, a coin is flipped to determine which of the card’s two effects will be applied: the original effect proposed by the creator, or an alternative effect specifically designed for that card. Only one of the two effects is activated, depending on the result of the coin flip.

The player who activates the card represents one side of the coin, while the affected player represents the other. If the result favors the player who played the card, the original effect is applied. If it favors the affected player, the alternative effect is activated.

The purpose of the alternative effect is to give the affected player a chance to reduce or soften the punishment they would normally receive, without completely removing the consequences of the card. For example, if a creator proposes a Wild +4 whose original effect makes the next player draw 4 cards, the alternative effect could make that player draw a smaller number of cards instead.

This way, the player being attacked has a chance to partially avoid the punishment through the coin flip, while the player who played the card still has a chance for the original effect to be applied. Each card would have its own alternative effect, specifically designed to balance or reduce its punishment.

The intention is for this mechanic to give the expansion its own identity, so the new cards aren’t simply additional cards, but instead introduce an element of uncertainty, risk, and excitement into every game.

Well, without further ado, here are the ideas that have been added so far:

Wild Pig King Card:

Wild Pig King Card

• Main Effect: When this card is played, the player chooses a color. Starting with the player to their left, one card of that color is dealt to each player, including yourself. Once everyone has received one card, the dealing starts again with the player to the left, giving one card to each player per round, and continues until all cards of the chosen color have been depleted from the draw pile. Because of this, some players may end up receiving more cards than others.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: Roll 2 dice and add the results together. The number rolled determines how many cards each player must draw, instead of continuing to draw cards until all cards of the chosen color have been depleted from the draw pile.

Wild Puppeteer Card:

Wild Puppeteer Card

• Main Effect: When this card is played, the next player in the current direction of play must place all of their cards face up so that everyone can see them. During that player’s next two turns, you take control of their cards, meaning you decide which card they must play on each of their turns, following the normal UNO rules. Once they have completed those two turns, they regain control of their cards.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: The effect is split between the player who activated the card and the next player. Both players must place their cards face up so that they are visible to everyone. Then, each player chooses which card the other player must play on their next turn. This way, each player gets control over their opponent’s next play.

Wild Drama Card:

Wild Drama Card

• Main Effect: When this card is played, you first choose the color that will continue play and then point to any other player. That player does not draw any cards. Instead, they must choose a different player to be the one who draws 2 cards. In other words, you choose the first player, but that player decides who will receive the 2-card penalty. Once the chosen player draws the 2 cards, the effect ends and the game continues normally with the color you selected.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: The player originally targeted by the Wild card gains the right to choose any player to receive the effect, including the player who originally played the Wild card.

Wild +40 Card:

Wild +40 Card

• Main Effect: When this card is played, you choose the color that will continue play, and the next player must draw 40 cards from the deck. After drawing them, that player loses their turn, and play continues with the next player in the current direction. This card is a Wild card.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: The 40 cards are distributed among all players, starting with the player affected by the card. That player draws 1 card, and following the normal order of play, each player draws 1 card on their turn. The distribution continues, giving one card to each player in the same order until all 40 cards have been drawn. Depending on the number of players, some players may end up drawing more cards than others.

Wild Mystery Draw Card:

Wild Mystery Draw Card

• Main Effect: When this card is played, the next player must reveal cards from the draw pile one at a time until they find a number card. The number shown on that card determines how many cards that player must draw. For example, if the first number card revealed is a 6, they must draw 6 cards. Any cards revealed before finding the number card are discarded and do not count toward the number of cards to be drawn, then they are returned to the draw pile.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: A number card is revealed from the draw pile as usual to determine the number of cards to be drawn. However, instead of all the cards being drawn by the affected player, the indicated number is divided equally between the two players: half of the cards are drawn by the player who activated the Wild card, and the other half are drawn by the originally affected player. If the number of cards is odd, the originally affected player draws the additional card.

Wild Jackpot

Wild Jackpot

• Main Effect: When this card is played, roll 3 dice to simulate a slot machine: if all three dice show the same number, you hit a Jackpot and all other players must draw 3 cards; if only two dice show the same number, the next player must draw 3 cards; if all three dice show different numbers, you must draw 3 cards.

• Effect if the Coin Flip Is Won: The dice effect is modified to reduce the penalty. If two dice show the same number, the affected player draws only 1 card, and if all three dice show different numbers, the player who activated the card does not draw 3 cards, but only 1. Rolling three matching numbers still awards the Jackpot.

Tokens

Many thanks to u/Guuzik for designing the tokens we’ll be using in this expansion. I still can’t show you what the final tokens will look like, but I wanted to give them the proper credit from the start, since the original idea and design for these tokens are theirs.

Dice:

• As you may have noticed, this expansion will also require adding approximately 6 dice to the game, since several of the new cards use this mechanic.

Here’s How the Expansion Pack Is Coming Along

So, this is how the UNO Reddit 2026 expansion pack is looking so far. I think we already have a pretty complete collection of cards and new mechanics, but there’s still room to add more ideas.

If anyone has a proposal that they think could fit well into the expansion, ideas are still more than welcome. And if you think we already have enough and that it would be better to leave the expansion as it is, I’d also like to hear what you think.

At the end of the day, the idea is for all of us to decide when it’s time to say: this is complete.

SPOILER: UNO Reddit 2027

And finally, after giving it quite a bit of thought, I want to leave you with a little spoiler for next year.

My idea for UNO Reddit 2027 would be to make an UNO Reddit Flip version.

I still haven’t completely figured out how this version would work or what new mechanics it could incorporate, so for now, it’s just an idea that is starting to take shape. But I’m really excited about the concept and wanted to share it with you from now on.

So, if everything goes well, the CHAOS will continue into 2027, but this time with two sides of the deck.

WHAT IS UNO BLAST AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

UNO BLAST is not just another variation of UNO — it is an extreme version designed to turn every match into a chaotic battle filled with pressure, explosions, and survival. Inspired by the most aggressive versions of the classic card game, UNO BLAST combines speed, massive punishments, and unique mechanics that transform every round into an unpredictable experience where any player can go from being moments away from victory… to being eliminated within seconds.

Unlike traditional UNO, UNO BLAST massively expands the scale of the game with a gigantic 300-card deck, a huge variety of action cards, and a completely new system based on the dangerous BLAST Cards. These special cards are not played from a player’s hand like normal cards. Instead, they appear unexpectedly from the draw pile and immediately stop the game to trigger global challenges that affect every player at the same time.

Although the game keeps the classic foundation of matching cards by color, number, or symbol, the experience changes radically thanks to its two game modes: Normal Mode and BLAST Mode. Normal Mode preserves the traditional turn-based structure, while BLAST Mode completely removes turns and allows all players to play simultaneously, creating frantic matches where speed and reflexes become just as important as strategy.

The special cards push the chaos even further. In addition to the classic Reverse, Skip, and Draw cards, UNO BLAST introduces far more aggressive effects such as +6, +10, Reverse Draw 4, and Multiple Draw, capable of punishing several players at once and completely shifting the pace of the game in an instant. Some cards even temporarily alter the rules of the match, blocking colors or forcing cards directly back into other players’ hands.

However, the true heart of UNO BLAST lies in the BLAST Cards. Whenever one of these cards appears in the draw pile, the game immediately stops and all players must complete a “Discard Challenge.” These challenges require players to discard specific card combinations, such as consecutive numbers, matching colors, or repeated-number groups. Players who fail to complete the challenge must draw penalty cards, bringing them dangerously closer to the maximum hand limit of 30 cards — at which point they are automatically eliminated from the game.

Unlike classic UNO, UNO BLAST is designed to create intense, fast-paced, and extremely unpredictable matches. Here, simply managing your hand is not enough: you must react quickly, survive the explosions, constantly adapt, and seize every opportunity to crush your opponents before they destroy you first.

My version of UNO Full Spectrum is based on the video “How to Play Uno Full Spectrum” from the YouTube channel Triple S Games. Full credit and thanks go to the creator for the original idea and explanation of the concept. You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJd7f_lDcI4

WHAT IS UNO FULL SPECTRUM AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

UNO Full Spectrum takes everything that makes classic UNO fun and brings it to the next level. It’s an easy game to learn, but now with an added layer of strategy that makes each match more dynamic, visual, and challenging. It’s still perfect for laughs, intense moments, and those little betrayals that make the game unforgettable, whether you’re playing with family or friends.

The objective remains the same: be the first to get rid of all your cards! On your turn, you must play a card that matches either the color or the number of the top card on the discard pile. If you can’t play, you’ll have to draw a card from the deck and hope for better luck on your next turn.

But this is where Full Spectrum changes the game: now you can also play cards following a chromatic sequence. With eight colors in order — Red ➜ Orange ➜ Yellow ➜ Green ➜ Turquoise ➜ Blue ➜ Purple ➜ Pink — you can play a card of the next color in the sequence, even if the number doesn’t match. This new mechanic opens up many more possibilities and adds an extra layer of strategy to every move.

Just like in traditional UNO, special cards remain key. They can change the pace of the game, force other players to draw cards, skip turns, or completely alter the direction of play. Every turn can be decisive, and a well-timed move can change everything.

And of course, the most important rule remains the same: when you have only one card left, you must shout “UNO!” before anyone else notices. If you don’t, you’ll have to draw cards and watch victory slip away.

UNO Full Spectrum is not just a card game — it’s an evolution of the classic, where color matters more than ever and every decision can open new possibilities. Here, mastering the spectrum is the key to winning.
