Thrillers that could actually happen, not supernatural.
I have 8 days off and I’m looking for some good thrillers (in English) that have a realism element to them. I’m not interested in ghosts, the supernatural, or aliens.
I’m also not looking for a grotesque horror movie like TCM, The Hill’s Have Eyes, or Wrong Turn. I enjoyed those, but it’s just not what I’m in the mood for.
Thrillers I’ve seen and enjoyed:
* The Ritual (although the ending was… meh, the rest of the movie had a fantastic vibe).
* Backcountry (LOVED this movie)
* The Woman in the Window
* The Witch (I know, supernatural, but still kind of felt like it had that element of realism to me)
* Scream
* Shutter Island
* Don’t scream (?) - idk, the one with the deaf girl in her house.
* Vacancy - this terrified me
I’ve been craving another “stalked in the woods” style movie, but I’ll take anything at this point.
Don’t care what streaming service it’s on, I’ll rent if needed.
Edit: tons of great picks in here for me to check out. Already watched one and it was a good watch.
I’m surprised no one mentioned Deliverance, and I’m surprised I still haven’t seen it. Thats going to change today.
I also forgot Vacancy in my list at first, which I’m kicking myself for. Such a good movie.
