Hello,

I've recently been hearing a terrible buzzing sound from my PreSonus E3.5BT connected to my Mac Mini; the speakers had been working fine for several years. The sound seems similar to a 50/60 Hz buzz but much louder and an occasional loud hissing noise.

I changed the speakers' power supply from the computer's surge protector, plugging them directly into the wall; no help.

Next I moved the speakers into another room, connecting just the left speaker into power; same noise. I connected the right speaker and the noise is the same from both. Increasing the volume does not increase the sound.

Does this sound as if the speaker itself is the problem? Or any other suggestions? Thanks
