


Indian Railways responds quickly online, but why is onboard overcrowding control still so weak?
Currently traveling in HTE-SMVB Express (12835) from Hatia to SMVT Bengaluru in Sleeper Class. After 26+ hours onboard, the coach is still heavily overcrowded with unauthorized passengers occupying reserved seats and crowding washroom/passage areas.
What surprised me was that RailwaySeva/Twitter acknowledged the complaint within minutes. The online support system seemed active and responsive.
But onboard, the situation barely changed. Staff/TTE response felt mostly inactive and incapable of handling the overcrowding effectively.
Feels like there’s a huge gap between online complaint handling and actual ground-level enforcement inside trains. Frequent travelers — is this now normal on long-distance routes?
