Bean there, brewed that ☕️ A few of the coffees I’ve gone through lately

Thought I would share some of the coffees I have worked my way through over the last few months.

Most of these were brewed as pourovers, with a few cups made in the Moka Pot too, so I have spent a fair bit of time with each of them.

It has been a fun journey trying different origins, roasts, and flavour profiles. Some instantly became favourites, some really surprised me.

If you have tried any of these or have questions about them, feel free to ask. Always happy to talk coffee.

Edit: A few people asked for quick reviews, so here they are. Most of these were brewed as iced pourovers unless mentioned otherwise, so these ratings are based on that.

Strawberry in Loop (Grey Soul): really nice fruity cup, strong peachy aroma when wet. Easy 8/10.

Ratnagiri Estate Mogra (Reserved): very floral, very mogra. I liked it but definitely not my everyday brew. If you enjoy light floral coffees, this is a must try. 9/10.

Black Grapes (Boojee): slightly darker than what I usually like for pourover, but makes a really good hot cup. Sweet aroma. 8/10.

Say Hello to Mellow (Maverick & Farmer): one of my favourite light roasts lately. Light, clean, not overly floral or fruity. Easy recommendation. 9/10.

The Rebel (KUP): a bit darker than I prefer for pourovers. Worked much better in moka pot and with milk. 7/10.

Dark Honey (Nerlu’s): hidden gem. Amazing aroma, very balanced, and made a great iced pourover. 9/10.

Amaltas Blend (Blue Tokai): honestly better than I expected. Nicely balanced with a bit of brightness. 8.5/10.

Highland Blues (Black Poetry): decent everyday coffee, especially for the price. I liked it more in moka pot than pourover. 7/10.

Mysore Nuggets (Dope): not for me. Too dark and the roast felt inconsistent. 5/10.

Micro Climate (Araku): really solid everyday coffee. Nothing crazy, just reliably good. 8/10.

All of this is based on my personal taste and brew style, so take it with the usual coffee disclaimer 😄

300 pour overs and counting

Brewed my 300th pour over somedays back.

What began as curiosity has turned into a ritual I genuinely look forward to every day. I’ve loved exploring different coffees, playing with brew variables, and discovering how even the smallest changes can transform a cup. 300 brews in and I’m still learning, still experimenting, and still enjoying every pour.
