Foster Struggle Bus

Hello friends, as you may remember, I recently posted my foster corgi Mango as an example of extreme cuteness. Well, the time has come for her to go to her forever home, and I don’t want to let her go. We met with her potential adopters today, and they’re completely nice, reasonable people that would give her a life of luxury however I feel like she fits really well in our home with our two other dogs who love her (they were literally spooning in bed last night). I told the rescue I had no concerns with the adopters moving forward to the home visit and now I’m over here prepared to pay literally any amount of money to keep her. I heard my partner tell her “I think we made a mistake, pup” and I have no clue what to do. Is this just what it feels like to foster?

Edit: Told the rescue. The potential adopter sent me some impolite messages and I apologized. The whole thing sucks.
