Anywhere that sells a good lemon bar in this city? Need it for mother's day tomorrow.

One of our board members has proposed a "Dog Days" program to have semi-organized pickup/sandlot games over the summer. We'd want to charge a few bucks to cover a real ump and also have some sort of registration (think signing up for a fitness class ahead of time) to ensure kids show for the ump.

Any other leagues try something like this? How did you execute the signups on a rolling basis?

I'm working with my league to work on strategy, and looking at the numbers of how much of each age cohort we lose each year. Obviously baseball won't be for everyone and you will lose kids, but what is an acceptable rate of loss as kids age up?

Since watching my kids play baseball a ton I have become addicted to sunflower seeds. Obviously they make a mess though. Will I seem like a pyscho if I am eating sunflower seeds in my office and spitting the shells into my trashcan or a cup on my desk? Is it way grosser than I think it is?
