For a long time, the CASIO W-300-4 felt like a myth.
Prototype? Promo sample? Custom mod?
But it turns out… it was real.

The CASIO W-39 can use the same 593 module as the CASIO W-31 and CASIO W-34, and its stainless steel case is excellent too. Which one do you like?
Owning seven W-31s is probably a sign that I’ve lost my mind as a collector. 😂 I currently have one JAPAN DC, three JAPAN Hs, and three MALAYSIA H models. Once I find the China-made version, I’ll consider the collection complete and finally stop hunting for more.
The DEP-700 and DEP-600 are both amazing watches. The DEP-700 comes with a titanium case and an Illuminator backlight, while the DEP-600 features a stainless steel case and a classic bulb light. Each has its own charm, and both are outstanding pieces.
There are a few watches missing from the photo, but I think it shows most of my collection.
I love every one of them, which is why finding space for them has become a challenge!
I enjoy restoring and repairing vintage digital watches too, so the collection just kept growing before I realized it.
While Casio and Seiko digital watches are well known among collectors, SANYO also produced some fascinating digital watches during the golden age of LCD technology.
Many SANYO models featured unique designs and proprietary technology, including their distinctive lithium battery systems. Compared to Casio or Seiko, surviving examples are much harder to find today, making them an interesting niche for vintage digital watch enthusiasts.
SANYO digital watches are a reminder of a time when Japanese electronics companies were competing to create innovative wrist-worn technology.
