Today’s Casio watch is smiling
”AMW-80”mod.388 Japan A. Stainless steel.
I don't know why, but I find this appealing.

Found this Vintage F-84W Module 587 Japan U / Japan P at a flea market. Put in a new battery (works perfectly)and bought a modern wrist strap. Any ideas on what its worth as is? Also I understand that the ingraving on the back "Japan P" refers to the factory. Any one knows which one?
Released before the first G-SHOCK at the end of the eighties, this watch pack a punch with a sleek design.
-200meters water resistance
-stopwatch
-timer
-dual time (has to be set manually)
-alarm
-REMinder function
-backlight (F91W worthy)
Manufactured in Japan in the eighties.
I think I paid 40€ shipped for mine, plus 40€ shipped for a replacement band I bought from ebay and imported from Serbia to France, cause the OG one des integrated within the first hour wearing it.
The watch has a good recensé (40.4grams) while being slim (see picture 5).
At some angles the display becomes blurry, in a way modern screen don't (not just
ghosting, see picture 8).
Also I can get the perfect fit with this ont. I love my G-SHOCK square but those always are a tiny bit too tight or too loose.
I have a W-720 one the way (similar but 100m WR and slime).
Hi - looking for assistance, trying to find a vintage band and bezel for a WW-5100 (491). Even a replica would be fine, but would love to find a vintage band for this watch that I’ve had since I was a teenager. Thanks!
(🏃🏻♂️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏼) 1993 Timex Marathon 1000
•••
This thing is a beast! Today, we have an insanely rare Timex Marathon 1000 from around 1993. Reference number 73981S, this watch closely resembles the Casio STR-1000 Speed Trainer.
Primarily used for running, it featured a remote lap / split cable to track times during your training / race. Accurate up to 1/1000 of a second. Jam packed with all kinds of cool features for the ultra runners. See the catalog reference for details.
Essentially new old stock. The lettering is perfect and the band is original. This watch will come with a similar Timex style band for everyday use.

I recently bought this awesome piece. One of the things that led me to buy it is that I absolutely can’t find anything about this product online! All I know is that it has a 193 module, it’s made in Japan, it seems to be from the 80s, and it came with its original box and manual.
Do any of you know anything about this product? Is it really a collectible relic?
My first ever restoration of a completely destroyed Casio CA-901.
Module was having both batteries leaking, case was badly corroded (I have no idea how that happened), crystal was severely scratched and strap was badly scratched too.
All parts replaced with NOS found on eBay and a Spanish watch parts website.
Only remaining parts to replace are eight new side pushers.
Watch is working perfectly (including no dead spots, faded dispaly, loud alarm and strong light).
Hey all! I posted this in the Casio Reddit and people got their panties in a wad because they thought I was baiting. I got this watch today in Catania Flea Market and I was just hoping for some actual knowledge on it instead of weird comments. If anyone has any knowledge about why this watch is cool beyond a basic google search I’d really appreciate it!
(🏎️) 1993 Timex Speedtrak
•••
Another rare 90’s digital found in the wild! Tonight, we have a very hard to find Timex Speedtrak from around 1993. It’s possibly the nicest example I have had the pleasure of owning.
Reference number 72771S, this watch closely resembles the Casio TRW-21. As mentioned in previous posts, Timex licensed old Casio models in the mid-90’s to gauge interest and compete with other brands. This watch features a Tachymeter. It is used to calculate speed M.P.H. and lap times during racing.
Basically new old stock. The lettering is perfect and the band is original. It’s pretty rare for me to keep a digital these days, but I think this one is staying in the collection.

Any ideas what this is worth, if anything?
Must admit, my vintage Casio knowledge is poor, so any info would be appreciated 👍🏼
No box, no papers, no strap that I'm aware of... It does fully work as it's supposed to... Wouldn't guarantee the WR though.
Thinking of selling this, i just got it lately. Car anyone tell me the value, so i know where to set a price for it? Works great, all original, just a scratch on the display. Thanks
Apparently quite the collectable and desirable watch, despite the condition and secured on an aftermarket dark brown calf leather Hirsch strap.
CASIO MARLIN.
