I am guilty of harming my community. I was convicted of manslaughter for getting into a shootout and killing another Chicano. When I walked away from that life, my daughter was born, I knew that no one outside of the Chicano race can harm us. We are harming ourselves, and only we can save ourselves.

Our kids deserve better... Better than what we were... We can stand up and be dads to our kids, or watch another generation go to prison or the cemetery.

They're going to make a movie called The Legend of Pancho Villa starring Tom Hanks! Just messing with y'all, That is just as absurd as having a black chick play Helen of Troy. If we want our people in movies, we have to write the scripts. The last Jaguar warrior cannot be played by Kevin Hart.

if we don't like them to do that to us, we shouldn't ask any studios to put in some random person of color just so we can feel good about ourselves—that's pathetic and weak. We need to write more movie scripts. And we do have a lot of talented writers, and we should be happy with characters created that represent our culture from the very beginning of the media.
