2018 Chevy Volt - Help!

I'm kind of at my wit's end here, I've had an ongoing problem with my Volt's propulsion battery and I need advice. Here's the sitch:

I have a 2018 Volt that I bought new that's still under warranty and sitting pretty at 110k miles (in California since it is a CARB state - 10yrs/150k miles).

I've taken it to the dealership multiple times to address the check engine lights and the techs say the battery has gone bad a needs to be replaced.

Currently the wait time for a new battery is 2 years with no actual guarantee, also not including installation. GM has offered me an $11k buyback, but I've fully paid off this car and I really do not like the idea of getting a new car and having to make payments again.

I like the idea of getting the new battery, and I'm willing to wait, but I don't want to drive my car with the failing battery, so I asked the dealership for a loaner vehicle, since courtesy transportation (alternate transport or reimbursement of transport expenses) is provided according to Chevy's warranty section on their site and in my manual, but they have declined to give me a loaner.

If you were me, what would you do?
