Chose a DSLR booth over a 360 photo booth for my rental business
Did a lot of back and forth on this before buying. Most content pushed 360 as the obvious move but the price difference is real and I wanted to make sure I wasn't buying into something that didn't fit my actual market. Went with a DSLR booth from photobooth supply co. My market skews heavily toward weddings and after talking to a few operators it became clear that wedding clients care more about print quality and the experience than the format. Corporate clients are where 360 tends to command a premium and I didn't have those relationships when I was starting out. We have used it for eight months and already did 13 events, mostly weddings with a few corporate bookings starting to come through venue referrals. Print quality has been consistently strong which drives referrals in the wedding market more than anything else. Planning to add a 360 unit once the first booth has paid itself off but as a starting point the DSLR made more sense for where my business actually was.
