The most unexpected moment that make a huge impact?

For me, in the song "The amen corner" at 19 seconds in, it goes from those evil doomy riffs, to that totally genius "acoustic change" for a few seconds.

That change is so brutally unexpected and it makes it sound so god damn evil.

When i hear that part, i can imagine like a demon appearing right behind you, then disappears again right when the guitars continue.

This is not new to me at all but just got reminded about it again how good that is. Dare i say an underrated detail, in maybe a underrated song.

Any parts, or details in a song that makes a big difference, in a similar way like this, that you feel strongly about?

Tool - Fear inoculum on vinyl

Finally picked this up and wow the sound quality was better than i expected. This was blasted loud last night and i slept very well after it.

I live close to the forest so i Imagine this sounded pretty awesome if someone could hear it echoing in the distance.

Tool, just release the other albums on vinyl now, what are you waiting for.

Im still waiting for FF X vinyl

I ore ordered from Imusic, they have informed me that it in one way or another it has been delayed due to high demand or something.

At this point i dont even know if it will be available at all there.

Anyone else have the same sort of problem? Very disappointing.

Heritage 2025 repress

Häxprocess is my favorite song on this album and love that they played it live last time i saw them.

A lot of the time i dont know which album i feel like listening to at the moment. There are so many masterpieces. But today i felt like it was Heritage.

MDF humidity protection?

Question: any advice for what can be done to the Mdf material for protection against humidity? Is oiling it in with hardwax an option?

So i am upgrading the miter saw station as you can see in the picture.

My home workshop is located inside an old barn which is not very well isolated. It will not be in direct contact with water but the air will probably still affect the material i assume.

The choice of material came from what i had available. It is not quite finished in that picture.

Maybe its not the best choice of material, but that is how it is at least i am very happy with support it will give when using the saw.

Flat as a slice of cheese

I always thought the 2D models was understandable and i love the art style. But this here completely made sense in a funny way.
