2 cases for the Ricoh GR IV. Suggestions?

2 cases for the Ricoh GR IV. Suggestions?

Hi there,

I, kind of, am a professional walker/photographer (stumbled into our dream job ...). We get hired to walk trails, write about them and make photo's. Until now I (photographer) always used the latest iPhone and the people who hired us are really happy with the results. Recently bought the Ricoh GR IV to take along (next to my iPhone).

We (sometimes) sleep in tents, we walk sometimes through harsh conditions, lots of dust etc. As we travel (very) light we have plenty of room in our backpacks.

Looking for two (hard) cases ... one that ...

  1. one that that fits the Ricoh GR IV as is. The case needs to be as light as possible (poreferably under 100 grams). For hikes near home, home country.

  2. and another that fits the Ricoh GR IV with the NISI filter adapter + plus 49mm filter + Nisi attached to the Ricoh GR IV (to be protected against dust etc.)

Looking on the net for the last couple of hours, and have seen dozens of examples. Nione stands out as particularly light/good quality.

As even the most expensive case is relatively inexpensive, i don't care about cost.

Any suggestions are really welcome!

Thanks

photo's not yet taken by Ricoh - because haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet on a trip. Hope to make similar photos with GR IV soon.

3 macro's of the same subject. which work best?

Yesterday I walked about 5 miles/8km to photograph a sunset. The walk was beautiful, and worth it, but the sunset was so-so. Fortunately i also brought my macro lens (Nikon Z 105). Three macro shots of the same (very small) flower against the setting sun taken with the 105MC. Lately i'm working on my composition skills. Any critique is appreciated why something does work, or not and what i could do to improve. Thanks in advance.

First day with the Nikon Z 105 MC

15 years ago I sold my Nikon F3, my FE and a bunch of lenses. Tried digital photography with the Nikon F300, but sold it right after getting it because I couldn't get used to the digital stuff. Lately started missing my photo walks. So purchased a Zf and a couple of second hand lenses. Nikon Z 14-30, z 24-120 and this beaut: the Nikon Z 105 Micro Nikkor.

This is so much better than 105 micro Nikkor from the 90's. And i think i get the digital part now. There is so much more you can do to manipulate your final photo.

A couple of shots from the first walk. I love capturing details. Still learning (obviously) how to use a digital camera and stuff like post processing.

Have a nice day every one!

Edit: I added (the last) two photo's of my third lens (the 14-30 Z) to show the difference in magnification between the 24-120 Z and the 105 Z. As per request @Wonderful_Mind_2039. Both were taken inside, ISO 12800, f8, 1/800.

Q: how do you approach people (if at all) to photograph?

Lately I feel an itch to venture into street photography. I have a question, actually I have several, but this one is the most important one …

What is your MO?

Do you ask people to pose?
Do you ask people for permission?
It is f@cking STREETPHOTOGRAPHY, so anything is fair game?
Depends on the situation …
Different …. I always ….

Thanks guys
