Retirement check vaporized into thin air??

Ok help. I got a check from Fidelity and I mobile deposited it into my bank. The funds showed up on my account and then were immediately taken out. I was charged a fee for essentially a bounced check I guess? I called the bank and the said there was an error code "Return to Maker" and said I needed to call Fidelity. So I called Fidelity and they said it shows the funds cleared and I need to call the bank. I've been going back and forth with each of them since October of 2025 (now august 2026). I think I get somewhere, but they have to do an investigation and it could take 3-4 weeks so I wait. And then I hear nothing. I've even three way called the bank and Fidelity so they could speak to each other ( neither institution can call each other apparently). They spoke to one another, the bank manager wrote on their letterhead (which Fidelity requested) that there are no funds in my bank account. The bank even sent screenshots of my bank account to them to prove that the funds did in fact NOT clear. I've called HR at my former job. I've done everything I can possibly think of and here we are months later with literally just a "bummer, it's their fault" response from both institutions. Now what? Is there someone I can call to have the bank or Fidelity investigated? I'm for sure closing my bank account, but I don't want to do that until I have done everything I possibly can to get MY retirement money back. What do I do? Please help me, good people of reddit

**It's a credit union not bank, sorry!

Tracing tool

Hi! I really want to get into drawing and want to use something to trace as a tool. I will *never* claim that artwork as my own, it's just to study and learn what I'm finding difficult - face and hands!

I keep reading all different things in my search about throw distances, LUX, etc but most of the threads are quite a few years old and either that tool doesn't exist anymore or the new ones aren't the quality of the old ones. Anyway, it's 2026 and I'm asking a fresh audience... What in the world should I use?

I bought the TOHETO A2 Light Pad, but it isn't bright enough to see through the watercolor paper I have. Please help! Thank you so much!

So I just called the WA labor board to verify that I was correct about something.

The owner of a company I work for argued with me that I don't get a lunch because I didn't work 6 hours. I said it is 5 hours. We went back and forth and they finally looked it up and told me I was right. So for the entire time they have had this company (almost 10 years) they haven't given employees a lunch until they worked over 6 hours. (Illegal)

The owner also stated that we aren't allowed to have rest breaks because we get a 1-hour lunch break. Also illegal.

When I talked to the L&I person she said to just look for another job because employers don't care if they're operating illegally.

She told me I could try talk with the owner again and say "these are our rights, I'm going to take a break." And if they continue to tell me I'm wrong, I could file a claim which would lead to an investigation into their payroll. And if they retaliated against me for filing a complaint, I can then file a retaliation complaint against them because I'm exercising my rights to the Washington state employee.

Respectfully, what the actual fuck? The labor union who is supposed to be there to fight for us just said it's not worth fighting for my rights and to just find another job??!
