I Built a Website to Discover Music From Faraway Places (Not Just Another Radio Garden)
Here’s my vibe coding project: HearThere. It’s about sharing and discovering music.
You can explore the map to hear what people in other places are listening to, or create a station to share your favorite music with others. It's kind of like hosting your own live music room where people tune in to listen with you, and you're the DJ.
Since there are hardly any users right now, most stations you currently see are themed stations I created. But I really hope people will come and experience this project, letting real users light up the map.
At its core, it's a music discovery map combined with a "listen together" feature. It might look a bit like Radio Garden—which was indeed my inspiration—but this project aims to focus more on the music itself rather than worldwide radio broadcasts.
Trying to build an experience where you can discover sounds from faraway places, strangers, and diverse cultures. Check this out!
