Had my PIP review this time last year. Was originally on just over £400 a month, then moved to just over £600 a month until December 2027.

Then got a letter today, my PIP has been extended to 2031. I was surprised by how long it’s been extended too. My health is uncertain still, in and out of hospital. So this is a big help for me for the foreseeable future.

Is it just PIP getting extended out of the benefits or is DLA getting the same?

Just got a tax refund letter (not worked since last summer due to health issues and operations) and got a tax refund for £402

I currently claim UC, this won’t affect it and be treated as income will it? Or is there a threshold of how much you can earn before they can take money off?

With the new powers DWP have - is everyone’s PIP being extended? I got mine after review last December (2025) to have until December 2027

My sisters PIP review was meant to be in two months (she’s only been in it since 2025) and today received a letter to say hers has been extended to 2029.

So, should I be expecting a letter to say mine is extended too and is it only PIP or is DLA going the same way? As my daughter is on it until 2027 for her autism and ADHD before having to reapply again.

I did my mandatory consideration and sent off on 15th May

Decided to appeal after the decision for them turning me down made no sense

* apparently I made good eye contact throughout the assessment , which is bizarre as the assessment was done over the phone. When I had called up to appeal even the person was confused about that and asked for me to send further evidence

* apparently I have shown no proof in my application of anxiety, depression diagnosis or medication. Which is wrong, as I sent GP summary, letter from my GP and medication transcripts (GP summary has all my active conditions and meds) and also sent hospital letters for neurology appointments and MRI appointment (had tremors in my hands for nearly a year now) and also letter for referral for a back operation. I’ve been signed off work, at my employers request as I can’t hold my tools steady at the job I am at so I’m on sick pay for the time being, until a diagnosis or what is causing the tremors.

Sent all my evidence again with Royal Mail recorded delivery, like I did the first time.

How likely is it I’ll get PIP now for highlighting terrors in their decision report and how long will I wait to hear back?

No idea about you guys - but there’s a few PRESIDENT songs I tend to think “this definitely could have been from those Busted sessions with Jordan Fish” like RAGE and the new one just dropped, Doom Loop.

PRESIDENT just seems like all different genres, I do wonder if Charlie adopted some of these, or took lyrics from the tracks the Busted label wasn’t into.

Going by the tours I’ve been, how would you rate the best support Busted have ever took on tour?

A Present for Everyone tour: McFly & V

It seems everybody forgot V was a support on this tour too? A proper boyband…same management as Busted

Pigs Can Fly tour: Emma Blackery and Wheatus (my personal favourite)

Night Driver tour: Natives (good band)

Half Way There tour: The Xcerts, Young Brando, Brigade and Holy Good (surprised Charlie’s brothers band Brigade was a support, them and The Xcerts good solid bands)

2.0 tour: Hanson, New Hope Club and The Tyne (Hanson had a few decent songs other than Mmmbop, The Tyne were decent)

Vs tour: McFly (sorry I just had too) 😂😂😂

Plus, did anyone support them for when they toured the first album? I never knew!

Watching them back it was great to see the guys having fun doing a music video again (Nineties, Shipwrecked in Atlantis, Radio) seeing Charlie dressed as a woman again too I remember him saying it didn’t take much persuading to do (always thought it was one of the dislikes from Busted for him the music vids)

Would have really liked a video for Reunion, make it WIGTSF vibes like the beginning of the Nineties video, school reunion even have an appearance from Lorna (Miss McKenzie)
