Do you guys have an imaginery partner?

I talked with this guy a while ago who was first seemly obsessed with me. Later on he told me bout this imaginery girlfriend, his ideals technically.

Everything I did was not good enough, even if I did meet his standards he put the bar higher for me to reach. He would secretely compare me to his imaginery girlfriend, technically an exact clone of himself just genderbend lol.

Now I don't want to offend anyone but I cannot comprehend talking to a person or atleast getting to know someone just to hold on something that only exist in your own... reality.

I tried to help him be better, face reality with me but y'know these people only listen to themselves so ofcourse I get discarded but it happens.

I always think it's funny how people talk about this deep loneliness yet only can resonate or feel "understood" when they project their own experience on someone else. It truly doesn't matter if you understand their feelings or thoughts. Aslong you don't suffer right infront of them they will never truly see you. Only their own pain.

ANYWAYS IM YAPPING, my question is if any of you guys have an imaginery partner and if it also limits you from connecting or even building a relationship with others?

I truly wanna understand if I could have done anything better but I do know the hard truth is that they would never love me for me anyways.

What's the point

Mutual obsession, the same morbid interest and a little more things we had in common.

Guess why it didn't work out? He demands me to throw away my life for him, which I would be willingly to do if only they could ACTUALLY provide for my needs which they refused to do untill I technically give up on everything in my life for them.

I genuinly think anyone who demands these things is fucking pathetic if you aren't willingly to even show effort before dating. Dating only test how much people are compatible, dating to marry doesn't mean I will marry you either.

It doesn't even give reassurance for both people, it's only one side. All I asked was just fucking effort, care, the bare minimum apparently. Something worth willing to throw my life away but no it's just their own ego they need to feed. No risk for them just me.

Like dude, you literally had me. YOU LITERALLY HAD ME but your fucking ego gets in the way.

"But I did care and show affection"

Yes, some lovebombing words but no action. You couldn't even uphold the promises you made. You had to gaslight me for your fucking insecurity.

The fact you even questioned me loving you, the fucking audacity you have to even ask such things when I fucking chased you when you tried to push me away, you even left me and came back begging that you needed me, that you love me.

I know what you are. I accepted it but you can't accept me. You don't want me, you want some brainless bitch with no autonomy. Even that won't satisfy you and that says a lot about your personality.

Is it so hard to be truly loved? I know a lot of people want mutual obsession and get bored of relative "healthy" relationships but holy shit does this performative obsessive shit pmo. Obsessed with yourself.

Might delete this post later I just need to get this off my chest before I do something dumb.

Tired to be "chased"

Actually tired of people claiming they love you/being obsessed and once they actually get to know or see more of a glimpse of the true you they don't want you any longer.

These folks are just crushing, they don't like you at all but the idea of their own imagination and it makes me disgusted every single time someone claims they want me or love me.

The saddest part is that I'm willingly to be open and yet they are too afraid to even truly show a part of themselves but this fake masquerade of "obsession & love". Just because you're insecure doesn't mean you have to project it onto me, hell you don't even have the rights to insult me for enjoying my interest. It's crazy I have to even defend myself for that shit. You can dislike or not be interested in something but I do not see the appeal for making someone feel bad for enjoying mediocre/generic media. We can both like niche and generic things at the same time. It doesn't make us less special or "normie".

I wish people would be less afraid being themselves, would prevent so much miscommunication. Cuz I truly think nothing else is hotter than being your own unapologetically self. Doesn't excuse rude behaviour tho.

Afterall loving someone goes beyond their flaws.
