How to educate first time puppy buyers on ethical dog breeding?

I am not a breeder but a dog enthusiast who is very keen on ethical breeding and highly supports preservation breeders. A couple with their 12 year old daughter want to buy their first dog.

First of all, I'll probably only have about an hour to talk to them, and they don't really know much. I would really like to educate these people in the best possible way so that they understand the importance of buying from an ethical breeder. Note: ethical breeders are pretty rare in my country (in Europe).

They don't really know much about dogs, they just know they want a small dog that doesn't bark much and want to buy it in 6–12 months. I will also tell them about different breed characteristics, care, and health concerns that come with each breed. I hope if this conversation goes well, we can meet again and talk more.

What is your experience with the best approach for doing this in such a short amount of time? Where should I start? I'm not asking for advice on the information/content about ethical breeding and dog breeds, but rather how I should present it to these people. I hope what I'm asking makes sense.
